Once again a great night was had by all at this years annual Prize Giving Dinner. After a fantastic meal, proceedings, this year, were ably conducted by Vice Commodore, Will Barrett and the prizes were, as usual,  presented by our esteemed Hon. President, Bob Leitch. The after dinner speeches and toasts, anecdotes and songs, that have long been a tradition of Monklands“ get togethers” rounded of what was another super evening.

Meet G.E.O.R.G.E.

Monklands Sailing Club’s answer to GPS, Navigation Charts, Compasses and Auto Helms. Developed for the gruelling  Isle of Mann Voyage , This compact, programmable and intelligent unit will actually learn through simple voice commands and hand gestures, replacing all those complex and tedious electronics to be found on most sailing craft these days . Easy to assemble   and requiring only a simple alcohol based fuel to operate, G.E.O.R.G.E is set to revolutionise the world of blue water sailing for years to come.
